The post-doc will work with Dr. Xianyang Zhang, Dr. Jun Chen and other collaborators. The research will focus on developing and implementing novel statistical and computational methods for omics data (especially microbiome data) using techniques from high-dimensional statistics, machine learning/deep learning and bioinformatics.
The job responsibilities include methodological and tool development, possibly theory development, simulation studies, real data analysis, and manuscript writing.
Qualifications are a PhD in statistics or biostatistics or relevant areas, strong programming skills (R is required), as well as good written and oral communication skills. Previous research experiences in high dimensional statistics, machine learning/deep learning, and statistical genetics/genomics/omics are preferred.
